GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY
OFFICE OF THE ZONAL JOINT DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE
4, ESPLANADE, EAST, KOLKATA-700069
NO. ZJDGFT/CAL/POL/TRADE/AM02 JUNE, 19TH 2001
TRADE NOTICE NO. 2/02
In respect of Silk for claiming DFRC benefit, it is required to know the input content of different constituents of silk actually present in the export product since the input quantity in SION is based on the actual content of different constituents of silk forming the resultant export item and for this purpose, the actual quantity of the different constituents of silk actually present in the export product should be declared in the Shipping Bill and duly authenticated by the Customs. The general note-4 of Textile Products also mandates this.
It is seen that most of the Firms mention only the inputs used in the process of manufacturing the export product or show the net requirement of input details without indicating the quantum of different constituents of silk actually present in the export product.
Some exporters photocopy CSB endorsement on the reserve of the original customs attested
invoice which neither bears the Invoice no. nor the Shipping Bill no., so as to establish a co-relation between CSB endorsement and the Shipping Bill/Invoice.
Exporters are therefore advised to get the Shipping Bills endorsed with the net content of
different constituents of silk present in the export product duly attested by Customs Authority.
