TRADE NOTICE

 

All members of Trade and Industry are aware that goods manufactured/processed by 100% EOUs/EHTP/STP/Unit in EPZ are not entitled to the benefit of Duty Exemption Scheme/DEPB etc.

It is in this connection that all members of Trade and Industry are advised that while filing the Application for Duty Free Licence or DEPB, they must furnish an undertaking to the effect that neither they nor any of their supporting manufacturer(s) are 100% EOUs or Unit in EPZ/EHTP/STP. They must also undertake that the goods exported/being exported under the above mentioned schemes have not been manufactured or processed by 100% EOUs or Unit in EPZ/EHTP/STP.

All the applicants under Duty Exemption Scheme or DEPB are required to furnish undertaking in the format prescribed below:-

" We hereby undertake that neither we nor any of our supporting manufacturers is a 100% EOU/EHTP/STP/Unit in EPZ. We also undertake that the goods exported or being exported under this scheme have not been manufactured or processed by 100% EOU/Unit in EPZ/EHTP/STP.

We are liable for penal action if the above declaration is found to be incorrect or false."
